Activities & Performances:

  • Chinese Calligraphy by Jojo Liu - Jojo’s Calligraphy

  • Tai Chi Demonstration by the San Carlos Tai Chi group - The San Carlos Tai Chi group practices twice a week in the mornings at the San Carlos Adult Community Center under the leadership of long time instructor Susan Hu Kao. Participation is free and everyone is welcome to join in the practice of health qigong and tai chi routines. The benefits are many, as participants improve their flexibility, balance, and strength while practicing the type of “meditation in motion” that Tai Chi offers.

  • Origami - Craft table will be led by the Arundel Elementary girl scout troop.

  • Clay - Craft table will be led by the San Carlos Lions.

  • Indian Bharatanatyam dance performed by Sahana James.

  • Performance by members of the American Chinese Youth Performing Art Foundation.

  • …more performances being lined up.

Other AANHPI Community Participants:

  • Humanest is co-founded by a community member. It is a community-based mental health solution where licensed therapists moderate peer support to community members in a culturally competent way .
