Beginner’s Chinese Calligraphy

Join artist Jojo Liu as she teaches the art of traditional Chinese calligraphy in honor of Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month.

This virtual demonstration will include how to hold a brush, write basic strokes, and write standing. Recommended for families with children ages 10 and up.

Jojo Liu's Bio: Chinese calligraphy is one of the most traditional art forms in the world, truly representative of eastern art and culture. Jojo Liu was taught and inspired by her grandfather to practice Chinese calligraphy from a young age. With her love and passion for creative arts, Jojo adopted a modern twist to traditional Chinese calligraphy. Jojo’s work showcases a perfect balance of traditional calligraphy art with modern flare. Jojo hopes to continue to spread the passion of Chinese calligraphy as a modern art form.
